Vernon Coaker MP

I’m the Labour Member of Parliament for Gedling. I am also the Minister of State for policing, security and crime.

The Borough of Gedling includes the towns of Arnold and Carlton and the surrounding parishes. It borders Sherwood Forest to the north, the River Trent to the southeast and the City of Nottingham to the southwest.

The wards covered in my constituency are Bonington, Burton Joyce, Carlton, Carlton Hill, Daybrook, Gedling, Kingswell, Killisick, part of Lambley, Mapperley Plains, Netherfield, Phoenix, Porchester, St James,Valley, St Mary’s, Stoke Bardolph and Woodthorpe.

Vernon accepts the position of Minister of State for Policing, Security and Crime

On Saturday 4th October Vernon received a call from Gordon Brown offering him a promotion within the Home Office to become the Minister of State for Policing, Security and Crime. He was very happy to accept this position and is tremendously excited to take on this new role.
