Book Character Fancy Dress and Mock General Elections

WESTDALE JUNIOR SCHOOL

Last Friday (28th May) Vernon visited Westdale Junior School for Book Week. On this final day of term children were allowed to dress up as their favourite book character.

Vernon presented a prize to a child in each year for the best written story. He also gave out medals and presented the cup to Westdale Junior School's football team who won the league and the cup this year!

WESTDALE INFANT SCHOOL

Vernon also visited Westdale Infant School to speak to a class who had a mock election at the same time as the general election. The class had many candidates who all had to make a pledge and a speech to the class. Rebecca was elected their Prime Minister as she received six votes. (A majority of four votes)

RICHARD BONINGTON SCHOOL

Vernon also popped into Richard Bonington School as they were holding a coffee morning for parents. He plans to visit the School later in the year to see staff and students.
