Vernon also received a copy of the group's 'knife crime' report that they published and launched at Parliament in July 2008.

"Young people are a big part of the solution and it was a great opportunity to listen to their views and receive their report" said Vernon

Vernon spoke at this event with:

  • Sir Al Ainsley Green - Children's Commissioner for England
  • Ann Oakes-Odger - Founder of KnifeCrimes.org and mother of Westley Odger
  • Pariss - Youth Board Chairman
  • Jennifer Blake - ELSC project
