I’m the Labour Member of Parliament for Gedling. I am also the Minister of State for policing, security and crime.

The Borough of Gedling includes the towns of Arnold and Carlton and the surrounding parishes. It borders Sherwood Forest to the north, the River Trent to the southeast and the City of Nottingham to the southwest.

The wards covered in my constituency are Bonington, Burton Joyce, Carlton, Carlton Hill, Daybrook, Gedling, Kingswell, Killisick, part of Lambley, Mapperley Plains, Netherfield, Phoenix, Porchester, St James,Valley, St Mary’s, Stoke Bardolph and Woodthorpe.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

Vernon attended the MacMillan Coffee Morning at Westdale Lane on Friday 26th September

Earlier this day Vernon had also dropped into Arnold Methodist Church to support the cause. Vernon said: "It was great to be a part of this event which raises so much money for cancer support as well as raising awareness even though I don't drink coffee!"
