I am delighted to hear that the plans to build a Sainsbury's on the Colwick Industrial Estate have finally been approved, after continuous efforts from Gedling County Council.
As well as creating 450 jobs from the supermarket itself, the project is set to attract a range of other businesses to the location, with ideas such as car showrooms, cinemas, restaurants and a hotel being explored. This is a great step in the right direction of bringing greater investment and economic growth into Gedling.
I want to congratulate everyone involved in helping the project get off the ground, and encourage the hard work to continue, to ensure this development grows and benefit the prosperity of the whole area.
