This certificate recognises NCH Commitment in its first step towards gaining international recognition from UNICEF's Baby Friendly Initiative. The Certificate of Commitment recognises that a health care facility is dedicated to implementing recognised best practice standards, and is awarded when there is a signed commitment from senior staff.
As part of this initiative NCH aims to increase breastfeeding by providing help and support to mothers across Nottinghamshire. Vernon was also asked to award Breastfeeding Champions with badges.
