Union Ends Tribunal Fees

It is fantastic that Unison has won the legal case that now means an end to employment tribunal fees and a reimbursement for the £27m that has been paid by employees in a variety of workplace issue cases since 2013.

The fact that these fees were introduced by the Government in the first place shows how little the Tories regard everyday people. With a 70% decrease in tribunals since the charges were implemented, it is worrying to imagine how many employees are being mistreated, and not being able to resolve their situation due to financial strain.

Unison has clearly demonstrated the importance of unions for the working people of Britain. Now all working people can rest assured in the comfort that they will not be charged up to £1,200 for seeking justice within their jobs. Congratulations to Dave Prentis and all of Unison on securing justice for employees everywhere.
