Vernon attends AJ Memorial Football Tournament

Today, Vernon was pleased to attend a football tournament arranged by Nottingham Lions FC to raise money for CALM, a charity committed to preventing male suicide in the UK. The Lions hosted the tournament in memory of their teammate, Andrew Johnson - known as AJ - who tragically took his own life.

The event took place at the 'Play Football' pitches in Arnold and the Lions were up against other LGBT-friendly teams from across the country, including Birmingham Blaze FC and Leicester Wildecats FC. In total, £237.00 was raised for CALM and Village Manchester FC were named the tournament winners.
