Yesterday, Vernon challenged the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Theresa Villiers, after her colleague fielded questions in the house pertaining to Northern Ireland and the European Union on her behalf.
Mrs Villiers has made clear that she will be campaigning to leave the EU, thereby opposing the government's official position on the matter.
Vernon does not think it acceptable that the Secretary of State avoids important questions about Northern Ireland and it's relationship with the EU.
