This evening Vernon took part in a face to face debate with UKIP leader, Nigel Farage, to argue for an "In" vote in the upcoming EU Referendum. 'EU Debate NI' was hosted by Ulster University and organised by the Centre for Democracy & Peace Building. To watch the full debate, click on the image below.
Vernon passionately made the case for "a confident UK within a confident EU" and emphasised that immigration, free movement and asylum as part of the EU are things that we should be proud of. He even predicted that if people put £20 on the success of an "In" vote they could expect to get their money back.
