Vernon made the argument, on behalf of his constituents, that closing Broomhill House would deprive its users of excellent, specialised care at the heart of the community. He is very concerned by the proposed closure and will continue to argue against it.

The Trust were receptive to Vernon's point of view and emphasised how seriously they are taking the consultation process. They agreed to take his arguments under consideration and to keep him updated on the progression of the matter.
