Vernon visits The Good Shepherd Primary Catholic Academy

Today Vernon was really pleased to visit The Good Shepherd Primary Catholic Academy in Gedling. The school is encouraging their pupils to think about and understand our democracy. Vernon was more than happy to help them out by speaking with the pupils about his job as an MP. He is pictured below addressing their assembly.

Vernon then took some time to meet with the school council so he could hear about the important decisions they help to make in school (pictured below). He was particularly impressed by their idea to help lonely pupils by using a "buddy bench".

Vernon sends his best wishes to the staff and pupils at The Good Shepherd and hopes that they will continue to learn about politics and democracy into the future.
